Almax Suspension 225ml is classified as an antacid medication, works by neutralizing excess stomach acid. Almax Suspension 225ml is specifically indicated for the relief and symptomatic treatment of heartburn in adults and individuals over the age of 12.
Usage Guidelines:
For adults and individuals over 12 years old, the recommended dosage is 7.5 ml (equivalent to 1 gram of almagato), to be taken three times a day, preferably 30 minutes to 1 hour after meals. If symptoms recur, an additional dose may be taken before bedtime. The maximum daily dosage should not exceed 8 grams (8 doses of 7.5 ml). There is no need to modify the dosage for elderly patients.
Precautions:
Pregnancy: It is advisable to avoid chronic or excessive use of Almax during pregnancy due to the potential risk of fetal/newborn abnormalities. If a longer treatment duration is required, consult your doctor for appropriate guidance. If you are pregnant or suspect that you might be, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medication. The use of medications during pregnancy can pose risks to the embryo or fetus and should be closely monitored by a healthcare professional.
Lactation:
It is recommended to avoid chronic or excessive use of Almax while breastfeeding. Although small amounts of aluminum and magnesium can be eliminated through breast milk in mothers who are treated with Almax, the concentrations are not high enough to cause adverse effects in the infant.
