Alka-Seltzer Xs Tabs 20S contain a combination of three active ingredients: Aspirin, Paracetamol, and Caffeine. Alka-Seltzer Xs Tabs 20S should not be taken by anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained within.
Aspirin and paracetamol are painkillers, with aspirin classified as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to alleviate pain and reduce inflammation. Paracetamol also aids in reducing fever. Caffeine, a mild stimulant, not only complements the pain-relieving effects of paracetamol but also enhances its effectiveness.
Suitability and Precautions: These tablets are suitable for adults and individuals aged 16 and above. Additionally, individuals with the following conditions should refrain from using these tablets:
- Allergy to other NSAIDs
- Bleeding disorders such as haemophilia
- History or current presence of a stomach ulcer
- Concurrent use of high-dose methotrexate (15mg or more)
